I don't really have any experience with mudmotors and never owned one but was wondering if there is any way to make a mudmotor as quiet as an outboard. I've seen underwater exhaust modifications on here for surface drives. How much of a difference does this make? Is this possible on a longtail?

If you want to prevent the rust, I had my buddy Dustin breaux in Houma do a ceracoat on my voodoo that has lasted 3 months so far in salt water with no issues. I now run a Q and am pleased with it. Also, the voodoos only come baffled now, but if you want to run it unbaffled, you take the tip and baffle out and get a new tip made at a muffler shop, that's what I did. See your dealer for details. I would like to compare the Q to a 40 exhaust though and see if there is a difference. Find a dealer. Has anyone ever ran a dyno of the different performance exhaust systems available for these engines? Mount the exhaust onto the engines with some sort of shock absorption and every one will live longer as long as the corrosion is kept under control. Shorties give you a gain over stock because of less restriction, but if you want the most out of a performance motor, you will opt for longtubes, because they have longer primaries, hence why performance cars run longtubes.
