It costs The Salvation Army millions of dollars each year to remove rubbish that has been dumped outside Salvos Stores. For larger items, they provide free collection from your home or business. When you join Salvos Stores as a volunteer, you make a positive impact in your community, gain new skills and experience and develop lasting friendships. Salvos Stores is always looking for new volunteers. If you'd like to donate a large item, please call ahead to check that they can receive what you have to give. Op shops spend millions of dollars a year on rubbish removal so please don't give broken, dirty, or poor quality items. I dont know about the crime post - you could do a LOT worse but I suppose everyone can have a bad experience. But we shop here and work here and I would not want to be anywhere else. The people are lovely, great homes all around, beautiful parks such as the Sculpture Park and so many markets and things to do. Good coffee, good food, lovely people. Its changed a bit with more development but you rarely need to go into Midland. Mundaring boasts having the best French restaurant and the best pizza in the state - The Loose Box and Little Caesars. Mundaring is only 40mins east of Perth and is surrounded by beautiful jarrah forests. The town itself has a long history with the Mundaring Weir Hotel and the Mahogany Inn well over years old and there are plenty of other sites to see here as well. Tourism is a big industry here with many visitors from the city coming for a day, weekend or extend break. There is plenty of shopping opportunities here with supermarket etc for you basic needs plus many specialty and boutique stores and you are still within easy reach of major centres.
