Attending school in the hills of West Virginia, Ben Murphy was quickly introduced to pure Appalachian Shine and all the goodness that came with it. Upon returning to the family farm in Ontario, Canada, Ben would begin to incorporate his younger brother Sullivan into the operation. The two would begin running their homemade still within one of the barns on the family farm, unbeknownst to their parents of course. After being encouraged by friends and family the brothers would decide to pursue legal sale of their liquid craft. Legally born in , Murphy's Law Distillery would earn its space on LCBO store shelves within their first year of operation, a tall task for any craft distillery. Fast forward through the years, Murphy's Law is now available in several provinces across Canada with multiple products on shelf.
