Nbn connection fee waived
When we first heard about the nbn a few years back — it seemed like a pipe dream, something way off in the distant future. Now, the future is here and so is the nbn.
I'm moving into a newly constructed apartment and looking for a NBN provider. I would be interested to hear others experiences on whether they've been able to waive this. Pretty sure this is the case, the charge comes from NBN directly for the connection? I assume the property is flagged as having paid for the new development fee and won't pay again if moving to a new provider? Thanks for the replies! I've seen other posters get a similar fee waived but it appears I must have mistaken this for a setup fee for existing premises. I argued with them that it wasn't ready as there was a connection fee to pay before it was ready.

One of the main reasons that we bought in the area of Tamworth that we did, was the fact that NBN had been rolled out to it, and of course at that time there was no new connection penalty as it only started very quietly this July! If you the 1st person at the new property then you will need to pay it as this is a pass on from NBNco.. View solution in original post. There should only be one cost, NBN cannot directly bill you for services unless it is a wholesale service, they are wholesalers, not providers, TPG should just pass through the cost if generated. I've heard of some people getting their landlords to agree to pay the fee when initially leasing a property, and it may even be worthwhile hitting them up for it afterwards. Now NBN is doing something similar.
