Mathystra used to be a night elven city before the Great Sundering , but it was utterly decimated by the destruction of the Well of Eternity , and has long since been abandoned by the night elves in favor of the smaller coastal villages further south. The ruins contain scattered relics of the old Highborne , and young night elves sometimes attempt to search through Mathystra in search of these relics. Ghost Sabers can also be found here. The ancient ruins were inhabited for a time by the Stormscale Naga , who aggressively guarded against any intrusions from outside sources. After the Shattering , Shatterspear trolls destroyed the nearby Tower of Althalaxx, and stationed themselves in the ruins, staging an attack to Lor'danel. They established the Shatterspear War Camp next to the ruins. Several night elves are now scouting the area to learn about the trolls' intentions and movements. This section concerns content related to Battle for Azeroth. During the War of the Thorns , the area became a battlefield between the Horde and the night elves.

Northern darkshore

Darkshore is one of the earliest Alliance leveling zones in World of Warcraft Classic. The only issue is that for some of those races, getting to Darkshore can be a bit of a pain. The easiest way to get from the Eastern Kingdoms to Darkshore is to fly to Ironforge. With that in mind, the safest way to get from Ironforge to Menethil Harbor is to take the road out of Dun Morogh that heads into Loch Modan , then travel north into the Wetlands.

Depending on your race and when you made the character, you made need to speak to the Teldrassil flight master twice to get the Darkshore flight path to appear. There has also been a new flight path added in the Master's Glaive and the old boats that ran out of Auberdine have been moved to the new Rut'theron village. Thelordofyouall posted Be at least level 18 for this area, as these fools pack quite a punch. From there catch the boat down to Darkshore. This is expected to be the second zone for Night Elves to quest in. However, do take that extra caution, as they are still humanoid enemies. Or you can be very very very very very lazy and do this.
