Such a difference from the — honestly — disappointing bags over the summer. The metallic finish is shiny and chic and it looks like there are finely milled golden flecks to add to the sharp metal effect. Pros : The bristles are the perfect combination of soft enough to glide along the delicate eye area and firm enough to hold the domed shape for excellent color pick up and blending. Cons : The handle is a little lighter than the average brush, so there is a little less control. And the purple color gives it a fun pop!

It's always a great mail day when my Ipsy bag arrives. This month was no exception. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription in which you receive a cute zipper pouch along with five beauty samples. First off, this month's zipper pouch was super cute. I love the color and the plastic texture because I could definitely throw it in my purse without it getting dirty. My absolute favorite product that came in my bag this month was this scrub. I'm kind of picky about my scrubs. I like them to be pretty fine in texture and cover lots of area. This scrub fits the bill. Its texture is ultra fine and it I felt like it hit every centimeter of my face. Some scrubs can be more gritty and sparse, but this was definitely not. This fun fall polish was also in this month's bag. I like the dark color and the brand is a good one.

This skirt was one of those not so much times.

But part of getting myself out of that slump has required some creativity and motivating myself with something other than building a career which is overwhelming and exhausting.
