Fortnite Season OG is here! The last season of Chapter 4 brings back familiar sights from past seasons thought old loot lake. It's time to once again drop in Tilted Tower and Loot Lakejust like the good old days. This map isn't exactly how you might remember, however.

The month-long season started all the way back in the bygone era of with Chapter 1 Season 5 and continues this week by throwing back to Chapter 1 Season 6. Tilted Towers was a location in the battle royale third-person shooter video game Fortnite Battle Royale. First introduced in a January update to the game, it was a city composed of numerous destructible skyscrapers and streets. Located near the center of the map, and featuring the most loot out of any other location in the game, Tilted Towers was often the most popular location in Fortnite. It went through numerous iterations from its introduction to November , sometimes being removed from the map. It has been widely considered the most iconic location in the game's history. Critics have had generally negative opinions on Tilted Towers, criticizing its popularity for causing disruptions in gameplay. Tilted Towers was a small city location in Fortnite: Battle Royale , and was located in the center of the map. The city was composed of several large skyscrapers with cramped interiors, each consisting of several stories, [1] [2] the tallest of which was a large clock tower. Alongside being in the center of the map, Tilted Towers had the most loot out of any other location in the game, and was as a result an incredibly popular destination, with many players each game landing at Tilted Towers. Combined with the location consisting of mostly skyscrapers that provided high ground against other players, combat in the location was often tense, and players were typically shot at from unpredictable locations outside of their field of view.

Loot Lake is arguably the most changed location in the Fortnite map, being changed in Season 4 , Season 5 , Season 6 , Season 7 , Season 8 , Season 9 , and Season 10 - all in in completely different states. It is also arguably one of the most important — if not the most important location in the Chapter 1 Battle Royale storyline , being in some way involved in the live events of every single season except for Seasons 3 and 7. In Season 10, Loot Lake could spawn up to 30 Chests. Prior to Season 5 , Loot Lake was a lake that had a house on its north shore, a house on an island in the middle of the lake and two factory buildings on the west shore. However, when the floating island started to move, the location was renamed Leaky Lake.

As this Fortnite season comes to a close, things are hotting up around the volcano and it all culminates today At Loot Lake, the Nexus Event tasked players with unlocking runes disappearing and reappearing around the map. Over the past few days, these mysterious runes have been converging on Loot Lake around the metal structure at its centre, with the monitors in surrounding buildings showing images of vaulted weapons and items like the Drum Gun and Tactical SMG. As of today, May 4, all of the runes have been unlocked, and a door has appeared. You can watch it all unfold right here through Ali-A's stream or hit up your favorite Fortnite streamer on Twitch. As the tremors intensified and the volcano began to flash, the community started to feed the volcano materials until the rune vanished and reappeared at Salty Springs. With the whole map now shaking, a bar in the middle of the rune seems to be slowing filled up, with players speculating that the volcano will erupt when it reaches its peak. Interestingly, it looks like the event bugged out a bit, with the rune disappearing from above the volcano too quickly. After briefly going missing all together, the rune went and hid behind some trees in Salty Springs - which community members helpfully pointed out is the 0 coordinate on the compass. The meter is still filling up however, so you can still contribute to the event by throwing materials and ammo into the volcano!
