The olive , botanical name Olea europaea , meaning 'European olive', is a species of small tree or shrub in the family Oleaceae , found traditionally in the Mediterranean Basin. When in shrub form, it is known as Olea europaea ' Montra ' , dwarf olive , or little olive. The tree and its fruit give their name to the Oleaceae plant family, which also includes species such as lilac , jasmine , forsythia , and the true ash tree. The olive's fruit, also called an "olive", is of major agricultural importance in the Mediterranean region as the source of olive oil ; it is one of the core ingredients in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisines. Thousands of cultivars of the olive tree are known. Olive cultivars may be used primarily for oil, eating, or both. Olives cultivated for consumption are generally referred to as "table olives". The olive tree, Olea europaea , is an evergreen tree or shrub native to Mediterranean Europe, Asia, and Africa. It is short and squat and rarely exceeds 8—15 m 25—50 ft in height. The trunk is typically gnarled and twisted. The small, white, feathery flowers , with ten-cleft calyx and corolla , two stamens , and bifid stigma , are borne generally on the previous year's wood, in racemes springing from the axils of the leaves.
Sometimes, the olives are lightly cracked with a blunt instrument to trigger fermentation and speed up the fermentation process. Hundreds of cultivars of the olive tree are known.
I've been purchasing from BS for quite a while now. Everything and I mean everything that I have received I give a 5 star. I do make my own capsules - it does take some time but it is well worth it!! Some of the items I just add to my smoothies. Great products - all pure with no "junk" in them. Thanks Bulk for being there for us!

Please provide values below to convert kilogram [kg] to pound [lbs], or vice versa. It is currently defined based on the fixed numerical value of the Planck constant, h, which is equal to 6. Even though the definition of the kilogram was changed in , the actual size of the unit remained the same. The changes were intended to improve the definitions of SI base units, not to actually change how the units are used throughout the world. SI is a system based on the meter-kilogram-second system of units rather than a centimeter-gram-second system. This is at least in part due to the inconsistencies and lack of coherence that can arise through use of centimeter-gram-second systems, such as those between the systems of electrostatic and electromagnetic units. The kilogram was originally defined as the mass of one liter of water at its freezing point in , but was eventually re-defined, since measuring the mass of a volume of water was imprecise and cumbersome. A new definition of the kilogram was introduced in based on Planck's constant and changes to the definition of the second. Prior to the current definition, the kilogram was defined as being equal to the mass of a physical prototype, a cylinder made of a platinum-iridium alloy, which was an imperfect measure.
