So I'm doing a pyro run and thought I would main the Onyx blade. I like the moveset, love the look, etc. But so far I'm really underwhelmed. Sure there's the WA weapon buff, but then the damage is split 3 ways, and still under preforms what a dark or chaos infused claymore would do in AR. I've basically put it on the shelf and use the lothric or claymore instead. Am I missing something?

Meaning towards end game Carthus Arc makes this very unimpressive. Damage is slightly less than what'd you'd get on dark weapons on a dedicated dark build, but the range is excellent, especially on the R2 poke.
