I got kicked out of a ranked game because the game refused to load the hero select screen and I was stuck under the floor.

Being that I play as Orisa, it's insanely tedious to choose her when it automatically highlights a character that's about 15 characters apart from her and in some unlucky cases before I could even choose her, someone else would have already chosen her, and it sucks. So is there any way to switch the character that's highlighted by default? I looked through every menu and setting, and I can't seem to find any way to change this.
