Ozzfest 1998

Ozzfest is an annual music festival tour of the United States and sometimes Europe and later Japan, featuring performances by many heavy metal and hard rock musical groups. It was founded by Sharon Osbourne [1] girls locanto her husband Ozzy Osbourne[2] both of whom also organised each yearly tour with their son Jack Ozzfest 1998[3] and was held almost annually between and The Ozzfest tour featured bands of a variety of genres within heavy metal and hard rock ozzfest 1998, including alternative metalthrash metalozzfest 1998, industrial metalmetalcorehardcore punkdeathcorenu metaldeath metalpost-hardcoregothic metal and black metal.

Over the years, a variety of bands have made up the yearly lineups of Ozzfest , a yearly heavy metal music festival that usually tours the United States in summer. The Columbus show was cancelled when Osbourne lost his voice. Ozzy's band as well — they were nice people. When they [the audience] were told that we weren't going to be playing at the end and Ozzy wasn't going to be showing up, they just fucking wrecked the place… We had to reschedule it [for July 1]. Some 39, fans were at the hour, six-stage, band event. Just before the tour, Soulfly took the place of Ministry amidst a management changeover.

Graves Of The 80s. Ozzfest kept moving forward in , expanding their tour with a stop in the United Kingdom and merging with the Vans Warped Tour for one date. These bands, as well as supporting acts like Sevendust , Soulfly , and Limp Bizkit , were staples of rock scene into the millennium. Ultraspank Unfortunately, this is a tale of a good band left floundering from mismanagement under their record label. Ultraspank toured extensively to promote their debut album but no support from the label came until their track "Five" was featured on a video game. They then went back into the studio with renewed encouragement from Epic. That backing faded quickly, however, and with little promotion to support the release of their second effort Progress , Ultraspank was dropped and broke up.

In some of its touring years, the festival has also featured dates in Europe. The show was founded by legendary hard rock musician Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne, his wife, in , and has since become one of the biggest heavy-metal and rock festivals in the world, drawing fans who enjoy the same type of music heard on the Warped Tour or the Gathering of the Juggalos. The Ozzfest tour features a wide variety of heavy metal and hard rock bands. The different styles of music highlighted during the tour include hardcore punk, black metal, industrial, thrash metal, alternative metal, and death metal. Metalheads everywhere are welcome here and OZZfest is no different. With an already established career, Ozzy was successful in bringing in the crowds to see him play along with numerous big-name and indie bands in Phoenix, Arizona for a two-day music festival and again in California in October. With a first-year hit, the OZZFest tour went into full mode planning for the next year. OZZFest enjoyed major commercial success in the early part of and over the next several years.
