Is it oxygen sensor or catelytic converter? The total vehicle value is almost the cost to replace the catelytic converter. I can afford a oxygen sensor. How can I find out??? Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions. I think the p is usually the rear O2 sensor but could be either one. If they haven't been changed in a while you might as well do both. Be sure to get Denso sensors, not Bosch. Best prices around.

Remember Me? Site Navigation. Member's Picture Albums. I know there have been countless threads on this error code, but since I got my 4runner down to Florida it has been popping codes. I have had it cleared a few times, no big deal. Here's the strange part though. The other day I was playing around at one of the state parks, going a bit fast on the dirt roads with my 4wd on, and the strangest thing happened. The check engine lights turned off. And actually stayed off for a couple days. Sadly they are back on now though.

So I decided to run some Catacleaner and 44k through my system after I cleared the code. So why did it clear itself? I dont think it's the fuel. The service manual will show how to check this. I will check the OBD and see if it states what the nominal voltage. View Public Profile. Both and both o2 sensors? Anyway i do have a couple of questions if anyone can help that would be great. The computer compares the front o2 sensor output with the rear o2 sensor output , if the outputs are the same, the computer will throw that code.
