Pattern for a tea cosy

Americans don't know what a tea cosy is!

Tea, cake and a little Herbie Hancock on the radio in the background are all particular favourites of mine. This is a nice easy project to ensure that your tea will be steamy hot even after the cake is gone! Click here to download some helpful illustrations pdf. To make sure the cosy fits, lay your teapot on its side on to a large piece of paper. Draw a semicircle around the teapot, adding an extra 5cm on all sides to make the pattern for the main body and lining.

Whether for breakfast or your afternoon tea, a cute cozy is always so useful. While you might like to buy one, you can very easily sew your own.
