I signed up for the Heaton Half Marathon in Manchester with two goals in mind: to challenge myself to run an event, and be intentional about selecting a charity to raise money and awareness for as opposed to choosing one on whim. Thus, the members of Bloom would be actively supporting the Miscarriage Association this year in memory to Paula who tragically passed in Tears and spirited clapping filled the room; I left knowing exactly what to do. I was raised by a strong single-mom, who experienced her own miscarriage, so it hit on a personal level too.
