Dell desktop computers have a power button light LED that is able to change its status. This is useful for reporting the general status of the computer. The LED can be green, yellow, or off. I have a brand new case full of RGB lights and this one white light is constantly flashing to grab my attention. The course of the flashing is a LED in the case that connects to the motherboard. This particular LED will flash whenever a hard drive is in use. Which is quite often. With the Hi case, in particular, the pre-installed cable is labeled FPanel. I assume there will be more cases that now use this FPanel cable. The FPanel cable bundles together a number of these case cables that connect to the motherboard. This cable connects utilities at the front of the case such as; the power button, front USBs, and audio jack s to your motherboard. Front Panel Connector. Now you may have figured out the issue here, and the mistake that I also made. This is your blinky LED. Conveniently, my case came with an adapter that connects to the FPanel cable and splits the pins. So do check the box. I have known some cases to tape extra and optional cables to the cable management panel, or even just left loose in the bottom of the case.
If it is the ram shouldn't the fan inside be still running? Plug back in charger to try to start up.
Ask a new question. PC was on and i was out for sometime. When i came back, i saw the pc in off state. When i pressed power button the power button glow for 2 sec and then went off. Again i pressed the power button again the same thing. I connected the power adaptor but, there is no sign of being charged. Charger connected light in the side was also not glowing.

One minute they are fine, and the next thing you know it is basically dead. You can see the computer Power button light blinking but nothing comes up on the screen. Unplug from the wall. IF you see a battery compartment door, then your computer has a removable battery. IF NOT then you do not have a removable battery.

I think its the power supply or the mobo thats gone, dont think there would be any issues with the RAM, dead ram would simply bring a blue error screen but other hardware would still function like the fans, drives etc. I'd ask the shop to plug in the universal charger to see if that works.
