Photochemical & photobiological sciences
Photochemical & photobiological sciences contain novel scientific work of such importance that rapid publication is desirable. Authors should briefly indicate in a covering letter the reasons why they feel that publication of their work as a Communication is justified. The recommended length is usually no more than four printed journal pages. Full papers contain original scientific work that has not been published previously.

It embraces both well-established and emerging fields and allows investigators, physicians, industrialists and postgraduate students to obtain an updated account in specific areas and a ready access to the recent literature. Importantly, books in this series provide a critical evaluation of the directions that the field is taking. Series DOI: Cutaneous Photoaging.
Photochemical & photobiological sciences
The book series aims at covering selected aspects of the interaction between light and living matter, ranging from the photophysical events following the absorption of photons by endogenous or exogenous constituents of biological systems to the large variety of effects caused by UV, visible and near-IR wavelengths at a supramolecular, cellular and tissue level. Focus is placed on strategies for protection of ecosystems and plant, animal, human beings against photodamage, as well as on the use of light as an information carrier or a beneficial tool in the field of medicine and environment. An in-depth description of novel emerging topics, such as the use of nanotechnologies in photobiology or the advent of sophisticated time- and space-resolved spectroscopic and microscopic techniques, is also provided. Every effort is made for ensuring a high quality critical review of the state-of-the-art and prospective developments for the individual subjects. The European Society for Photobiology actively promotes this books series as a part of its commitments for expanding the scope of photobiology and attracting the attention of the scientific and medical community to the high potential and value of this branch of science at both an academic, industrial and social level. Photochemical & photobiological sciences
Photochemistry is an area of science exploring the chemical effects of visible or near-visible light — typically reactions which are caused by absorption of ultraviolet radiation wavelength from to nm , visible light - nm or infrared radiation - nm. Photobiology is a related discipline involving the study of the biological effects of this type of radiation on living organisms, covering areas such as photosynthesis, ultraviolet skin damage, photomedicine and bioluminescence. The journal is published by the Royal Society of Chemistry, but owned and edited by several other scientific societies from the field of photoscience.

Data citations should include the minimum information recommended by DataCite: authors, title, publisher repository name , identifier. Footnotes to tables should be indicated by superscript lower-case letters or asterisks for significance values and other statistical data and included beneath the table body. Please note that submissions that do not include relevant declarations will be returned as incomplete. Non-financial interests: In addition, authors are requested to disclose interests that go beyond financial interests that could impart bias on the work submitted for publication such as professional interests, personal relationships or personal beliefs amongst others. The retraction note should provide transparency which parts of the article are impacted by the error. All authors certify that they have no affiliations with or involvement in any organization or entity with any financial interest or non-financial interest in the subject matter or materials discussed in this manuscript. There has recently been a renewed interest in the photochromic properties and uses of TiO 2 as a potential candidate for smart windows. However, the surrounding medium of TiO 2 nanoparticles NPs is of equal importance, as it facilitates hole scavenging and, in turn, photochromism. Here, we investigated the impact of scavenging power on the photochromic properties of TiO 2.
Color Art Color art is free of charge for online publication. Full papers contain original scientific work that has not been published previously. Easy compliance with funder and institutional mandates: Many funders require open access publishing, and some take compliance into account when assessing future grant applications. Ratio of a journal's items, grouped in three years windows, that have been cited at least once vs. Example: CRediT taxonomy:. OER Commons. C has received speaker honorarium and research funding from Company M and Company O. One contains a request to confirm your affiliation, choose the publishing model for your article, as well as to arrange rights and payment of any associated publication cost. It is difficult to specify a threshold at which a financial interest becomes significant, any such figure is necessarily arbitrary, so one possible practical guideline is the following: "Any undeclared financial interest that could embarrass the author were it to become publicly known after the work was published. Work submitted for publication may have implications for public health or general welfare and in those cases it is the responsibility of all authors to include the appropriate disclosures and declarations. Technical notes are unlikely to be followed up by a full article. General repositories - for all types of research data - such as figshare and Dryad may be used where appropriate.
