It even had a small heater in the room for drying out wet boots! So best to take hikes , go fly fishing then hit Mike high pizza for some local brews and listen to music , then walk to end of road and look at mountains if clear view is awesome until midnight. Other cabins might be a bit nicer, newer, and be better decorated, but in the summer thay are asking dream prices. The Talkeetna Roadhouse was exceptional value for clean, well-supplied and well-organized accommodation. We absolutely loved our time there - it was the best place we stayed while in Alaska by far, and in my opinion, also the best in Talkeetna!
