An entire industry has sprung up to produce Glock clones, or Glock-like pistols that embody what many shooters want a Glock to be. Many of these are tricked-out, flashy pistols, and they usually cost a bit more than the stock OEM Glocks. The cost of optimized slide profiles, optics cuts, improved sights, and other parts adds up. The exception to that, at least at first glance, is the PSA Dagger. Does it live up to the hype?

At this price point, I would have expected the Cerakoted slide to have some pretty noticeable imperfections, but there were none besides a few small pinhead-sized marks near the slide serrations. This model may not have the optics-ready slide, ported barrel, and suppressor-height sights, but everything it does have is functional and gets the job done. Starting up top, it has a standard-height three-dot night sight setup. For those of us who press check often, the front serrations are appreciated. Double points for PSA here. The attention to detail dribbles down to the frame, as PSA included an undercut trigger guard, laser-etched stippling, and a notch in the magwell to make grabbing the magazine easier while reloading. Of course, there is also an accessory rail if you want to add your favorite light. The mag release is nice, as it protrudes more than the average and makes dropping the mag out very easy. It makes for a fine shooting experience. Overall, given the price point, PSA makes it very hard to complain about much of anything here. A gun can have all the features in the world and still shoot poorly, or have barely any upgraded features and shoot like a dream. I try not to judge a firearm at least not too harshly until I get the chance to shoot it myself. Once the Dagger got delivered, I wasted no time packing it and a few hundred rounds into my range bag.

Cons Trigger Holster Compatibility. I fired it weak-hand-only, with two hands, and supported on a bagged tripod for accuracy. Review by Anonymous User.

The firearm market has seen incredible surges and contractions over the last several years. With that has come some innovative solutions to driving business. Many rifle companies have turned to making slides, knives, and other assorted widgets to keep their numbers up. This is a nice feature in the event you want to drop your aftermarket G19 trigger into this new blaster. PSA ships the Dagger with Magpul P15 magazines, but because of the similarities in dimensions and design, you can use your existing G17, G19 and other 9mm magazines with the gun. Design Features Rated 3 out of 5. Monthly Podcast on Guns, Bags, and Industry. Of course, there is also an accessory rail if you want to add your favorite light. Review by Merrick A. I racked the slide on my boot, and other than my misses, it functioned fine. Protect yourself and all those who carry concealed in your house. Reset is exactly Glock-ish as well - with the swing forward push you're accustomed to with a tactile and audible reset - pretty short. So, no proprietary mags, and you can run standard Glock mags in it as well.

I appreciate the understated slide work on the gun - they didn't hog out a bunch of steel making the recoil impulse be a lot snappier - they kept it truer to Glock spec and the result is a gun that's very controllable due to the improved grip and trigger. The rear sight is serrated to knock down glare - which is a phenomenon I have never encountered yet the feature is there anyway. Review by Merrick A. In hand - it's my favorite aftermarket Glock frame I have yet to try. Up front, it has a single-slot accessory rail for attaching a light, laser, or a combination of the two. Both the slide and barrel are stainless steel, and the barrel on my sample has a durable black DLC coating. I had no flaws, no malfunctions, and nothing bad to say about shooting this gun.
