It was however aimed at a very specific market - the occasional US hunter. There are thousands of these people, they buy their deer tag, hunt once a year and have no real interest in guns as regular shooters do. But they want a scoped, fullbore rifle that can knock down a white tail or two… Then they go home and stash the gun somewhere and forget about it, only to start the same process next year. Remington obviously realised that there was a market here and set about addressing it!

I fire and test a lot of firearms. Some are impressive, and I cannot shoot up to their accuracy potential. Some, well, I get the measure of pretty quickly. At a range session on an outdoor range, an older gentleman walked by the table. I replied in the affirmative, figuring he was going to bash my economy rifle. I can also claim self-made status, and find it comforting to read things from a fellow in the same club. There is obviously a little but not much. I am not endorsing his actions, but I suspect his frustration has been felt by many owners who can still recall the time when Remington built high quality firearms. You know, the one that all the pre snobs like to tell you is an inaccurate, trouble-prone piece of junk. One time I went to put a shell into the chamber and the magazine fell apart. I'd never recommend someone buy one. I like mine. Pride of ownership may not be in the cards. The lugs recess's are cut into the barrel, so rebarreling, if even possible, is a totally different process than with a typical bolt gun in which the lug recess's are in the receiver. But since those rifles ARE on the market at those prices, the is not good for the price. The lousy performance with light bullets is another myth. Three bullets went into 1.

The Model bolt-action rifle, by Remington, manages to raise a lot of eyebrows. Many times, when people hear the name , they immediately start bashing it. Some go so far as to call it a waste of money, or even a throwaway gun.

The Winchester grain Power Point was designed for deer, elk, and wild boar. You may not be aware of the , as you would not for a second think it was a Remington. Affordable, effective and something your can toss into the truck and not worry about scuffing up. It also taught me a thing or two about jumping the gun and humility; lessons that can benefit us all… Shoot the Stylist I would imagine that the was a big success, as Remington has recently introduced its replacement, the Alaska shooting forums Alaska Shooting. Remington Pros and cons? Show the pictures When talking about features and quality, I always try to relate those to the price point of the rifle. The rings and bases are sturdy. The Stock Sucks I can forgive a cheap stock on a cheap rifle, a few things on the stock were a bit weird. Lost Password. Have your friend contact me at nine zero 8 five one 2 three..
