The Root Mother describes Labyrinth as, "a crossroad of many places," and that's exactly right. Labyrinth is an interdimensional hub that connects worlds. Come here when you want to visit another world. When the Keeper of the Labyrinth teleports you here, head into the central chamber the one with the checkpoint. The path will appear as you move, so just start walking wherever you want to go. Rest up at the checkpoint so you can teleport here from other checkpoints. Next, walk from the checkpoint through the door opposite the one you entered from the Keeper. There are two paths you can take, one is a stairway leading up and the other is a path leading to the back, left corner of the area. Take that one and head to that back left corner. There, you'll find the Founder's abandoned camp. You're on the right path! Make sure you read through the journal he left to learn about the worlds you'll soon visit.

I just got the key by helping the Undying King, and noticed when I port back to the Labyrinth area, that there is two gates: Red and Purple. Are these two different paths? As I chose the Red area and got ported back to Swamp area wherein I spent like the last hour figuring out if it was just a scam and should have picked Purple.
