The Car Key location in Resident Evil 2 is an optional puzzle as you explore the Parking Garage section of the game. You'll find it inside the Firing Range , alongside other optional but useful items - either way if you're a completionist, visiting is a must. Looking for something else? There is also a Box here. Investigate it in your inventory, turning it around, to reveal a button prompt. This opens the box, giving you the Car Key as mentioned in the file. Press the button and the boot should open - giving you the Gun Stock Matilda as Leon - combine this with your Handgun to turn it into a semi-automatic weapon - and the JMB HP3 as Claire, giving you a new handgun. Head back to the Firing Range. Get the A Message to Mr Raccoon File at the reception desk, before turning your attention to the two doors in the corner with a zombie guarding them.
