Recent news dawned on us with the ever so unsurprising reveal that Netflix has canceled its Resident Evil series after just one season. This news comes to us as no surprise at all! If there was one word that describes this show, I think it'd have to be abominable. I had high hopes for this show, but it didn't deliver. In fact, the delivery of this show was so far off the packages I recently ordered never made it to my house. Let's look at why this series was, essentially, a shortcoming. Throughout Resident Evil's lifespan, there have not been many successful interpretations of this series when discussing its adaptations.

The quality obviously wasn't even considered before the season went in to production. Well, that's also worse. Though if you are a huge fan of the franchise, you will be happy to know that Resident Evil does a good job tying itself to the games beyond including a few noteworthy enemy types. This brings me back to my original statement. The plot.. Instead, were given another half-assed attempt at bringing a video game series to real life that makes zero sense and is a mockery of Resident Evil. Anyway i rest my case and don't want to waste any more time on this super bad series. If you like this type of genre then go for it, it's not a slow burn. That should be the title of the show because it has nothing to do with resident evil. They could have simply transferred the story and characters to the screen, but instead they chose to make a soap opera for teenagers. The show could have been outstanding, but unfortunately this is another in a series of missed opportunities. Resident Evil. Without giving much away, the events of the Resident Evil games — particularly the Raccoon City outbreak that was the main focus of Resident Evil , as well as Resident Evil 5 especially the ending — do play a key part in the story.
