Today, we are going to be taking a look at the Retroflag GPI. This device allows you to drop in a Rasperry Pi Zero or Zero W and emulate all of the major retro consoles we love. Then, large amounts of very technical soldering was involved to use a cut up 30 year old motherboard to interface with a modern computer… yeah…. As confusing as this may sound, the process is extensively covered online so armed with a hot cup of tea and a couple of bagels, you will have no problems jumping this hurdle. Thats a pretty important factor to take into consideration. The screen is a 2. The buttons have been custom injection moulded to look like the original DMG buttons, but on a smaller scale.

Primarily known for their retro-themed items ranging from the GameCube-themed Switch controller I covered a little while back, to some more intricate Raspberry Pi cases, RetroFlag have just released something relatively out of character: a custom Xbox Series battery pack. What we have here is a product that does what it says on the tin. Coming in two parts, a rechargable battery and a battery cover, the SuperPack clips seamlessly onto any Xbox Series controller you have handy. That is the most recent non-Elite Xbox controller revision. The controller is now charged using the USB C port on the SuperPack itself, sitting just a little behind the usual port, and can be activated using a switch on the battery cover. The switch has three positions, allowing you to move from Switch mode on the left, XInput mode on the right, and turning the controller off entirely in the middle.
