Commuters have been urged to plan their travel in advance when roadworks commence on the A34 in Stoke-on-Trent next week. The work will take approximately eight weeks and see improvements to network efficiency, junction operation and the introduction of pedestrian crossings at the junction of Godwin Way and the north side of Newcastle Road. There will be temporary signals and lane closures whilst the work takes place, as well as a night time road closure of Clayton Lane and Godwin Way towards the end of the works. A diversion route will be in place during closures. The changes will ultimately form part of the Local Transport Plan.
