If not, it's possible that someone in your house connected to the same wireless network as the TV is controlling the Roku TV using the Roku mobile app. If the issue stops from there, that would likely explain the behavior you are seeing. Note that if yours is a Roku TV with "Fast start" enabled, turning it off and back on just puts it into and out of a standby state and does NOT give you a complete restart. If a restart doesn't do it, or if you don't have sufficient control with the remote to navigate the Roku menus, you can also restart by pulling the power plug to the Roku for a few seconds then plugging it back in and waiting for it to restart. Ultra is really bad. So bad trying to type logins to streaming apps is impossible. The other 2 it's skipping every couple of pressed while going through the apps or shows to watch. Doesn't matter which app. Definitely a software issue and needs fixing asap! I had this same problem.

Why would my TV be turning on and off, changing over to whatever options it lands on, going into different channels and screens etc, constantly clicking in between it turning on and off as well as the volume going all the way up.
