Overdesigned is a side mission given to you by fellow Constellation member Walter Stroud. What ship you get depends on what decisions you make during the quest. In this Starfield guide, we will walk you through the entirety of Walter Stroud's Overdesigned quest, including instructions on how to get both ships. There are two possible outcomes and several choices you have to make throughout the quest. The Kepler S is the smaller of the two ships you can get from the Overdesigned mission. But although it's the more stripped-down option, it's still a solid ship with great engines, tons of cargo capacity, and a powerful grav drive. It doesn't come equipped with any weapons at all, though, so they are something you will have to purchase and add to the ship yourself. The Kepler R is better than the Kepler S in every way. It has a more souped-up grav drive, far better shields, double the crew capacity, far more fuel capacity, and it includes weapons. It is much heavier than the Kepler S, so its maneuverability is decreased, but it makes up for that in every other area.
