Growing up in an environment of violence prior to being taken to the Glass Unicorn, Cinder spent her early years as a malnourished slave while being forced to wear a shock collar, subjected to electric shocks as a form of discipline while barely supplementing her diet with scraps. In a desperate bid for freedom, Cinder stole a sword from the visiting Huntsman Rhodes, who sniffed her out and offered to train her in hopes of a future as a Huntress. Her health would greatly improve during her training with Rhodes, building up her athleticism with regular exercise and sparring sessions. Sometime afterwards, she was recruited by the immortal sorceress Salem, submitting herself in a bid for the power and agency she so desperately craved. During this time, Cinder was implanted by a parasitic Grimm beetle that allowed her to forcibly steal Maiden powers, though this implant would be her undoing at Beacon. The latter would be replaced by a prosthetic Shadow Hand that was likely an outgrowth of the parasite, a mixed blessing. On the one hand, the arm was extremely flexible, enabling her to attack targets at range, and the claws on the hand could be used as additional weapons, strong enough to brutally gorge their targets.

Cinder's first name was Cinder Falleaf, she was born into the family but soon after her Mother died and her Father left the family, resulting in Cinder being sent to Madame Falleaf in the Glass Unicorn at the age of 10 where she served as a Slave for 5 years and used as an example to the other Faunus Maids as to what happens if they disobey. Soon A Huntsmen named Rhodes found her during a secret mission to confirm reports of child slavery at the Glass Unicorn, becoming attached to Cinder and teaching her how to fight. Due to her age and lack of proper upbringing, Cinder failed to understand what she did wrong, resulting in Rhodes trying to get her out before the authorities could arrest her and send her to the juvenile Detention Centre. Improper conduct by Atlas Soldiers and fear within both Cinder and Rhodes led to a direct confrontation with authorities and resulted in Rhodes's death at the hands of an Atlas Sniper, Cinder escaped but blamed Ironwood and Clover for what happened to Rhodes. By the age of 16, she was discovered by Salem and brought under her wing, spending the next few years becoming Salem's protege, secretly learning Dark magic to control Grimm. At the age of 17 Cinder recruited Mercury and Emerald and by 18 began organising her master plan to bring down the Kingdom of Vale. However she was now and her Empathy was beginning to develop thanks to outside contact, using a special parasite Grimm, Salem gifted Cinder the ability to steal Maiden Powers at other expense of hampering Cinder's emotional development and Mind controlling her. Yet despite that, she ended up befriending Ruby and her friends, critically Pyrrha Nikos who she ended up empathising with and Admiring Greatly even though she planned to kill her from the start.
Leg Focus : Cinder is introduced with her face hidden and the camera focussing mostly on her long, rwby cinder, bare legs as well as her glass shoes. In Volume 5, it is becoming clear that Cinder's desire for revenge against Ruby and her insatiable lust for power is starting to have a detrimental effect on her sanity as she has become increasingly unstable and more openly sadistic than before. Rwby cinder after recovering in Volume 5, her deep desire for vengeance against Ruby clouds her judgement, shown when she negotiates a deal with Raven Branwen to stage an ambush in Haven Academydespite protest from Arthur Watts, rwby cinder.
She is a member of Salem's Inner Circle and was the leader of her own faction. She is also the current Fall Maiden. Her machinations are the driving force behind the events of the first three volumes and cemented her as the primary antagonist of the Beacon Arc. She made her debut in the first episode of Volume 1 , " Ruby Rose ". Cinder used a special Grimm glove to steal half of the Fall Maiden's powers from Amber. During the Fall of Beacon , she gained the other half and killed Ozpin in battle.
In her childhood, Cinder Fall lived in an orphanage [1] in Mistral , where she scrubbed floors and was bullied by the other children and was implied to have also been starved and overworked by her caretakers. There, Cinder was introduced to the Madame's two biological daughters. Once there, the Madame explained Cinder's new duties and work of cleaning the hotel and delivering food to the rooms and making her position and responsibilities as her "step-daughter" clear. Since then, both the Madame and her Two Daughters heavily mistreated, overworked and abused Cinder and forced her to singlehandedly do all the needed maintenance to keep the Glass Unicorn running. In order to keep her in line, the Madam would have Cinder wear a shock collar disguised as a necklace. During her time with her new "family", Cinder was constantly shocked by her "Step-Mother" for even the smallest of blunders in order to keep Cinder in under control during the times she would act out due to her mistreatment from them and mostly for her own amusement at punishing her "daughter". The Madame would also psychologically abuse and degrade Cinder by shocking her constantly until she said the phrase "Without you, I am nothing" to further demoralize her from fighting back. Cinder also faced constant bullying from her two "Step-Sisters" who made a point of constantly picking on her due to her status as essentially being their family's personal slave and making her chores even more difficult by purposefully causing messes and snickered and laughed whenever Cinder made a mistake, an attitude enabled by their biological mother. One day, while scrubbing the floors, the Madame's daughters purposefully muddied their shoes and made a mess of the floors in order to increase Cinder's workload, angering Cinder, who then caused a scene by accidentally creating a large cloud of mist after unconsciously awakening her Semblance and super heating a wet scrub brush and smashing it to the floor in frustration.

Despite a lack of Formal Education, Cinder is extremely well-spoken and clever. Cinder was also shown to have developed a genuine friendship with Rhodes, most likely due to his being the first person in her life to have treated her with kindness. Throughout the second and third volumes, as well as the seventh and eighth volumes, her short dresses and catsuits ensure prominent focus on her legs whenever she is fighting, including camera shots through her legs towards her opponents, such as during her fight with Amber. When she fights Jaune, she only stops toying with him when he manages to strike her mask, almost injuring her; she instantly flies into a rage, ranting about the audacity of someone as weak as him daring to think he could beat her. During her battles in Atlas, Cinder demonstrated the ability to use fire to fly by creating blasts underneath her feet and in the palms of her hands to act as thrusters. At the end of Volume 7, Cinder is so outraged by her failure to obtain the Winter Maiden's powers that she screams while breathing fire. Flight : Cinder has the ability to fly up the Beacon Tower's lift shaft and hovers every so often during her final battle of Volume 3. After getting a Shadow Hand grafted into her body, its innately soulless status prevents Cinder from protecting it with her Aura, leaving it vulnerable to other weapons and Silver Eyes. Once the connection between the Beetle Grimm and Amber is severed, the Beetle Grimm is killed and the glove disintegrates, leaving behind the tattoo on her back that lies between her shoulder blades. As revealed by her having "taken" Watts's angry rant towards her to heart, Cinder has now shown to become patient enough to wait for a convenient opportunity to kill anyone who crosses her instead of immediately killing them on the spot in order to better take advantage of them, as seen where she set up both Neo and Watt in order to be able to get away with lying to Salem and covering up her actions to avoid punishment.
Cinder originally led a group of five individuals consisting of herself, Roman Torchwick , Emerald Sustrai , Mercury Black and Neopolitan.
Due to this, when she and Ruby meet face-to-face, she's wearing different clothing so Ruby doesn't recognize her. Cinder's thirst and desperation for power stems from a life of powerlessness and having nothing. This is seen when, after being talked down by Rhodes about her wanting revenge on her step-family, Cinder backed down from wishing to hurt them and expressed her true desire of simply wanting to be free and be strong enough to look after herself without relying on them any longer. Entry for WorldEmber Competition Homepage. When she infiltrates Beacon Tower, she initially employs stealth, then fights the guards in a spinning and whirling style that makes it appear as though she's dancing, even when it buys her the time to manifest glass-based and Dust-based weapons in the middle of fighting. Honestly, I haven't the slightest clue as to who is right and who is wrong, but I know that the existence of peace is fragile, and the leaders of our kingdoms conduct their business with iron gloves. Watts eventually deconstructs her motivations, stating that for all her power and arrogance, she has completely failed to achieve any of her goals, and reduces her to tears. Salem knows that she survived, but makes it clear to her other subordinates that she will not allow Cinder to return until she redeems herself for her failure. There is a baseball diamond-shaped keyhole on the dress' upper back at the same height as her chest. When she says that she had no family until she met Cinder, Mercury sarcastically tells her that he's sorry she didn't have a mother who loved her. At the age of 17 Cinder recruited Mercury and Emerald and by 18 began organising her master plan to bring down the Kingdom of Vale. Usually, she prefers using blades, and has shown to wield a variety of differently shaped ones with ease. Later, when ambushing Amber, Cinder tells them to execute the attack exactly as planned.
