Library techs are in demand—because libraries have become the go-to place for everything from traditional books to e-books, multi-media and online resources. Saskatchewan Polytechnic's two-year Library and Information Technology diploma program has been developed in accordance with the Canadian Library Association Guidelines to address ongoing advances in technology and changing library user needs. Offered at our Saskatoon campus, the program prepares you to support librarians in any type of library—or to manage day-to-day operations on your own in a small library. Please note, this service is for booking one-on-one consultations with librarians, not for booking library instruction classes. Saskatchewan Polytechnic Library provides service to all Saskatchewan Polytechnic students, faculty, and staff. Each campus library includes a learning commons, study space, and comfortable seating. Our friendly and professional staff members can assist you in-person, or by email or telephone. Learning is often a social and communal activity. The library is the natural place for tutoring, working on group projects and studying together. We are limited by the layout and features of the library. These are the expectations when using the library space. During mandatory masking, eating and drinking is only allowed in designated areas on campus, and will not include the library.
