The mission of the Department of Human Science is to promote the health and well-being of all people by preparing future leaders and scholars in the health sciences. Its vision is to explore human biology and disease at the molecular, cellular, behavioral and systems levels for the improvement of human health. The human science major is designed for students who have a passion for the scientific disciplines and wish to build a strong foundation in the basic and health sciences.
