Sennheiser has many headphones on the market suitable for almost any purpose and catering to every price range. The HD , however, is one headphone that has recently come down in price and now offers some excellent value for money. The build is a combination of high-grade plastic and metal and integrates an incredibly comfortable set of velour ear pads and a large faux leather head pad. Both of these features, combined with the open back design allowing air to flow and the circum-aural around the ear fit, means that you will be able to enjoy your sweet beats from these headphones for hours on end. The sound produced by the Sennheiser HD is laid back, smooth and rich.

To the point to where these cans can be so warm, with closed eyes I felt as if vocalists were pressed against my chest and singing in my ear. Like my title says, this is my first time buying Sennheiser, in headphones or earphones. Filters Show only: Loading…. Don't expect blasting bass or tons of volume and loudness that modern recordings tend to favor. Cons : only long cable, not the most detailed sound. Sound I love the sound signature of these headphones. The highs combined with the forward midrange makes this headphone sound bright. It fits just right, once I adjusted the set. Comfort: These headphones are really comfortable. The bass is not boomy but does bleed a tad, not ideal for classical but it's not hugely problematic. If you are a basshead, don't even think about purchasing these. When I did it, it made the bass much, much worse in exchange for an almost imperceptible gain in treble detail, which is again not even the point of these headphones.

The HD come with plush, luxurious velour ear pads and headband cushion which provide outstanding wearing comfort, even for long listening sessions. If you're into more modern electronic music or metal, it will still sound great, but, like I said, don't expect lots of volume or thumping bass. Cons : Lacks punch, sound is not colored enough.
