It was a super comfy, extremely open, natural sounding 'phone. Sennheiser's newly revised model, the IE S looks similar, but sounds different. It's designed and hand-made in Germany.

Pros: Overall sound quality, looks Cons: Cable, non-detachable cable, lacks soundstage, , disappointing accessories, non-changeable tips, price. First of all I would like to thanks Sennheiser for finally sending me out a sample of one of their products to review. There are many custom fitted earphones that go easily beyond this price tag, but in terms of universals, there are very few that actually do. The review unit I received had clearly been used and it came to no surprise that the box looked a bit scruffy. However, something I was really shocked by was the fact that I received earphones that were actually cracked — yes the housing on the right earphone had cracks along it.

Had a friend with the Shure S, and these are the best in sound , hands down unfortunately they had a horrible fit in the ear, turning painful I will be keeping these for as long as they last. However, some customers have mixed opinions about the quality. They are more microphonic than the Shure cables however I position the IE 's with the cord up so I can wrap it over my ears cancelling out their microphonic tendencies.
On your place I would try to solve this problem itself.
