Well, it's been a while since I've visited a new-for-me park to review, and whilst I don't usually veer into the world of water parks I figured I'd make a special exception for Siam Park in Tenerife. Heralded by many including Trip Advisor as the best water park in the world, Siam Park which opened in is the top attraction in Tenerife. The water park boasts world class water slides, outstanding theming and landscaping and gorgeous beaches and animal enclosures. It's also easily the most hyped attraction I've ever visited - the minute I mentioned I was going my mentions were flooded with people telling me how incredible the place was, eager to hear my thoughts. So I guess I will get stuck in then! Before I start I want to caveat this by saying that this will be a true to life, play by play of how our day went at Siam Park. I always do my best to be as up front about our experiences as I possibly can, and despite us receiving gifted tickets for this attraction our day wasn't the smoothest as you will shortly see and therefore I want to start off with getting to the crux of it: I don't think Siam Park is the best water park in the world. After reading on I'm sure you'll understand why but I wanted to put that out there first and foremost. So here we go. It should be said that I am not the world's biggest water park fan, but I do love a fantastic bit of immersive theming and a good water slide where you sit in a boat of some description. I also usually do my best to avoid hype as best I can for any new-for-me attraction before visiting, but with Siam Park it was impossible.

Voted the best water park in the world countless times by TripAdvisor, Siam Park in Tenerife is an amazing Thai-themed water park owned by the same people who created the famous Loro Parque. Completed in May , Siam Park offers a huge range of water attractions, with something to suit all ages, abilities and levels of energy or laziness. For very little ones there are 2 mini water parks. For in-the-middle children and scaredy-cat adults there are loads of family-friendly rides with the perfect balance of excitement and safety. For everyone who likes a crazy adrenaline rush, there's a handful of high-speed slides that will leave your stomach in your throat. Siam Park also has what is arguably the most beautiful golden sandy beach in Tenerife and a wave pool with record-breaking 3m-high waves.

Actually, in Siam Park was named the best water park in the world according to Tripadvisor users for the seventh time in a row. Especially if you are coming to Tenerife on a family holiday with the children, they will absolutely adore the day at the park, and it will probably be the best day of the entire holiday for them. Tenerife has a subtropical climate and is one of the warmest Canary Islands during winter , so Siam Park is open all year round, with no exceptions. At the entrance, you are greeted by the friendly sea lion family which were brought here from Loro Parque and then you can make your way towards the Floating Market. We recommend you buy your tickets online ahead of time. This way you can avoid the queue at the entrance and since the tickets don't have a certain date printed on them, you can buy them ahead of time and use them when you wish. We spent a day in Siam Park in January and we were lucky to have beautiful weather, all sunshine and no clouds, no winds, plus a temperature around 23 Celsius. If it's your first time at Siam Park and you'd like to get an idea of what it's about before your adventure on the big rides, you can go on the lazy river, also known as Mai Thai River. A full ride lasts around 30 - 40 minutes and at a certain point you do get the choice to go on a faster route, which will lead you through a tunnel that goes underneath the shark aquarium.

I'd like to thank Siam Park for gifting us tickets to enjoy a day out at their attraction, we're so grateful! Usual burgers etc but food was ok. Not in my opinion. Not allowed your own food, take water shoes as your flip flops will get stolen.
