The Securities Industry Essentials SIE exam is available for candidates who are pursuing entry-level positions in the securities industry. The Securities Industry Essentials exam is available to candidates and students who are at least 18 years old. Candidates are required to take the SIE exam before or after associating with a firm. The SIE exam contains 85 multiple-choice questions, 10 of which are unscored, and you will be given a time limit of 1 hour and 45 minutes.
