March - last edited March. I tried that myself, and it worked for me also. So, I waited until it was done, then I installed the EA app, and everything works fine. Has there been a solution to this? I had the problem of Growing Together downloading but not showing up in the game. I pre-ordered the expansion and we are now fast approaching 48 hours beyond the release window and my EA Crap Sorry App is still stuck on preparing my download which it will do for approx 20 minutes before then telling me there was a problem with my download. I have been on to IT about this twice now and I've essentially been told I need to wait which from a customer service point of view is completely unacceptable. If you want to try something in the interim, you could temporarily reinstall Origin. Even though Origin is unusable in Windows, it does often download packs that the EA App won't, in the background even as it's telling you to switch to the App. You can get Origin here direct download link :. Launch the installer, and when Origin asks whether it can keep itself and your games up to date, one of several check boxes, make sure to leave that option enabled.

Sadly, it seems that multiple players are unable to enjoy the new content due to issues related to the current main EA desktop client. In fact, it seems the problems are worse because the EA app is now a mandatory requirement to play some major games, like The Sims 4. I assumed this was because it had just been released so decided to close the EA app When I went to my EA app It shows it in my library but when I click on it to download it, It asks me to purchase the pack again.
