This easy to make baby sleep sack to keep baby safe, warm, and snug. Includes a free printable PDF pattern and sewing tutorial. It was sent to me free of charge, but my obsessive love for touching it is completely my own opinion. The Lullaby Line Sleep Sack keeps your child at the perfect temperature without the suffocation hazard of blankets. The Baby Sleep Sack Pattern includes a standard version and a footed version for the big kids. Sewing Pattern pieces are computer generated and color coded for easy cutting. PDF Sewing Pattern includes layers so you can just print off the size you need, an A0 format for printing at a copy shop and a projector format.

One of the baby items we have ended up relying on the most with Kate our second daughter is her sleep sack. Trace around the entire sleep sack. Pin the paper pattern piece to the fabric and cut it out — this makes the piece for the back. I used polar fleece since it needs to be warm. Fold the paper pattern piece in half and pin it to the fabric and cut out one of the front pieces. You can see in my photo below where you need it. At this point I realized that I needed to make the neck on the two front pieces a little bigger. I based my pattern on the back of the the sleep sack which has a narrower neck, so it was just a small adjustment after I cut out the pieces of fabric. So cut out a piece of fabric a little longer than your zipper and about 3.

I am a texture junkie. If you are tall folks you may want to cut the fabric a bit longer. I had another one and the arm and neck holes were smaller, which was great for a teeny tiny baby, but then it became a fight to get my kids into it, so I got rid of that one and enlarged the openings on this pattern for growth convenience. Simply print out the pattern on regular paper, cut it out and tape it together. My granddaughter is having twin boys and we live in a cold climate. Some call it minky. Just made this tonite! I know we probably all have different machines but mine is a singer simple and if anyone has one and can tell me what tension they used I would appreciate it! You are so talented! Thank you. But worth it! The zig-zag made it wavey. But what is a baby sleep sack? They must have upgraded the design since then! Sarah, thanks for getting back to me. Thank you for the free pattern. Just measure your little one and adjust it accordingly. I know someone else said their machine was giving issues with tension for the zig-zag. I always wished they were bigger in our old sack, so this was the magical moment to make changes.
