Inwhen the subprime crisis hit the world economy, Dennis de Wet was working in the Isle of Man for a property syndication company that enabled investors to pool their money together for a slowtown coffee of real estate, slowtown coffee. It was a catalyst for his decision to leave the corporate world.

Slowtown Coffee Roasters came to life, because we wanted to spend our time doing what we are passionate about. That boiled down to coffee and people. And we wanted to create a space for people who love the same things, to do exactly that. Drink the best cup of coffee in Namibia, while connecting with family, friends and colleagues. Too mundane, and far too routined for my liking. I also realised that there were actually people out there who loved their jobs.

We know the ins and outs of how they run their farms. We know that every step of the process is done ethically and that they value sustainability as much as we do. Costa Rica — Bromelia Fancy This Costa Rican coffee has dark earthy tones, creamy nut-to-chocolate roasted flavours with a soft clean finish. De Wet trained himself on an espresso machine to hone his barista skills and would take coffee imported from his South African contact into restaurants to gauge interest.
