World heavyweight champion Seth "Freakin" Rollins and Cody Rhodes were nowhere to be found in the middle of the broadcast only to make an entrance and answer Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Roman Reigns' challenge. Verbal sparring led to a final crescendo of The Rock telling Cody Rhodes he's 20 years younger than his siblings because he's a mistake. He questioned The Rock's authority to determine the terms of a fight because The Great One acknowledged Reigns as his tribal chief. Rollins stepped in to shut The Rock up in turn, calling him "Mr. Midlife Crisis" and telling him his time has passed and they accept The Rock's terms. The Great One brought out the receipts, mentioning that he's part of the TKO board and ultimately their bosses before, to the crowd's amazement, he went on to call Rhodes a mistake. Rhodes responded with a slap to the face. The implications alone for WrestleMania gives this matchup a good grade but the slap is a cherry on top. The undisputed universal champion followed up the Legado del Fantasmo vs. Lee fight. The crowd let him have it with a chorus of boos before The Rock joined the party. Dargon Lee went on offense with multiple stomps and nearly ended things within a minute. Angel "hurt" his right knee after avoiding a slam only to hit Lee with a kick to the chest. A few more hits sent Lee out of the ring with Legado del Fantasma showing him the disrespect. Angel couldn't escape Lee's comeback, though.
The combatants had a physical, heavy-hitting match that was rarely pretty but never needed to be. Orton and Kevin Owens def, smackdown results. AOP surprised everyone in Dallas by running into the ring and cornering Lashley.
Find out with this recap of the March 8 show, which also featured the latest chapter in the rivalry between Bobby Lashley and Karrion Kross as they clashed in one-on-one action. He introduced his business partner, KSI, only for their victory lap to be interrupted by Randy Orton. WWE has never had an on-canvas sponsor in its long history. While it will take some getting used to, it is a regular occurrence in combat sports and even in other wrestling companies, and will likely make the company a ton of money. As for the Orton-Paul feud, this essentially solidifies the idea that they will square off in Philadelphia, though it would have been nice to see The Viper a bit more revenge-minded given that the United States Champion cost him a World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania. On the heels of Randy Orton's victory over Austin Theory in the main event of last week's show, The Viper teamed with Kevin Owens to battle the former chosen one and Grayson Waller in tag action.
Were Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins able to pay off their recent success with a championship victory or did Judgment Day build momentum entering War Games and the Survivor Series main event? Bianca Belair, Shotzi, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch made their way to the ring to kick off SmackDown and, despite teased tension between the latter two, appeared to be on the same page. Bayley, master manipulator and quality villain, arrived on the scene and tried to poke and prod at the delicate partnership, leading to the making of a main event for later in the show pitting The Queen and The Man against any two of the Damage CTRL War Games team. This was essentially any and every show-opening promo segment designed to set up the night's main event. This one had a little bit more substance to it, with the teases of remaining tension between Flair and Lynch, and the obviously absent Iyo Sky, Dakota Kai, Asuka, and Kairi Sane backing up The Role Model, but it was still a fairly uneventful in-ring promo to start the show that easily could have been a far shorter backstage vignette. At least the chemistry between the characters, including Shotzi's unbridled energy in comparison to her more reserved partners, was fun. Ford and Dawkins were the de facto babyfaces, for better or worse, and the Chicago chapter of the WWE Universe wanted to see the team regain the titles they had worn previously. A solid segment that accomplished what it intended in the sort-term but does create questions about The Street Profits and whether WWE is all-in on them being heels. The match was a great showcase for four guys inexplicably absent from the Survivor Series card. The Chicago crowd was red-hot for the babyfaces, especially Knight, and stayed with the action the whole way through.

Find out what went down on this blockbuster broadcast with this recap of the December 15 show. The Viper issued words of warning to Reigns, recognizing his growth and evolution as a wrestler but vowing to take everything away from him, just like The Tribal Chief took 18 months away from him. Orton threw down the challenge for a match at Royal Rumble, which Reigns denied, and nearly ate an RKO for his trouble. This was a suitable first showdown between The Head of the Table and The Legend Killer, even if the verbal back-and-forth did not match the tone of the backstory between these two. Orton will likely up the intensity on the road to the Rumble, rolling through The Bloodline before only Reigns is left to conquer. He probably will not, but it will be interesting to see who and what costs him his shot at revenge.

Reigns commanded acknowledgment before The Rock returned to the stage to call out Rhodes. But Randy Orton came to crash the party. Grayson Waller took out Kevin Owens outside the ring but Orton made him pay. From the opening pyrotechnics to the electrifying main events, SmackDown delivers an unforgettable entertainment experience. After getting him on the ropes, Orton took Waller down as payback for a double suplex. In the WWE, business is booming. Find out with this recap of the March 8 show, which also featured the latest chapter in the rivalry between Bobby Lashley and Karrion Kross as they clashed in one-on-one action. There are still countless unanswered questions, however, ahead of the Showcase of the Immortals. The implications alone for WrestleMania gives this matchup a good grade but the slap is a cherry on top. Stratton's two-footed stomp knocked Michin down early and she had her on the ropes often. After the match, AJ Styles cut a scathing pretaped promo on LA Knight, who responded by obliterating the television he was watching with a steel chair. Kross took control against the All Mighty before Lashley broke out of another attempted submission. He questioned The Rock's authority to determine the terms of a fight because The Great One acknowledged Reigns as his tribal chief.
Damage CTRL took to the ring stronger than ever at the top of Friday's show, but not all was necessarily as it seemed. Sky spoke through Dakota Kai, issuing suggestions that were more demands than anything. The heels issued the War Games challenge to Bianca Belair, Shotzi, and Charlotte Flair, daring them to find a partner before that trio interrupted.
Afterwards, The Rock revealed career-altering stakes for Rhodes. Watch Now:. Next up was Bayley and Dakota Kai vs. The Bloodline, excluding The Rock, made their way to the ring first. Orton received the hot tag late, unloaded on the opposition, and then joined Owens for a sweet pop-up RKO to Theory for the win. The show has a long history of showcasing some of the biggest names in professional wrestling, including The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, John Cena, and many others. Ultimately, he helped Carlito get a victory over Santos Escobar. The smile on Rock's face suggests the action was exactly what he wanted out of The American Nightmare and now that he also established, on-screen, that he is his boss, it will be interesting to see what direction things head moving forward. Rhodes slapped Rock to close Friday's show, a receipt for the embarrassing strike he endured back at the WrestleMania Kickoff Event. That much we know following the main event segment of Friday's SmackDown.
