After patients are prepped, they are brought to the surgical suite in a linear progression, from the entry door of the restricted corridor, into the OR area for surgery, and subsequently into the PACU at the opposite end of the restricted corridor. After recovery, patients exit through a separate door to avoid passing through the waiting room. Patients requiring only exam or laser procedures are brought directly into those areas from the waiting room, exiting through the main facility entrance. Staff parking and entry are located at the back of the facility, allowing staff to enter and exit without interfering with patient flow.
