Stardew Valley isn't a linear game by any means, but there is a main questline of sorts. You will eventually run into its rundown Community Center when you move to Pelican Town.

There are two different plots in Stardew Valley depending on the players' choices. The Community Center is the most popular of the two plots since it is more in tune with farm life and respecting nature. The player must turn in bundles in order to restore the Community Center. Bundles are basically donations and they are turned into forest spirits called Junimos. Once completed, there is a ceremony, JojaMart goes out of business, Pierre's general store is open all week, and Clint spends all day at the Community Center on Fridays.

The community center bundles in Stardew Valley are tangible signs of your farmer's impact on Pelican Town. By giving some of your crops and goods to the Junimos, you can repair the community center and give your new friends a place to gather and fight against JojaMart. These bundles are the same if you side with JojaMart. Some bundles, like the Blacksmith's Bundle or the Construction Bundle, can be completed at any point of the year. Some bundles, however, are focused on specific seasons. Others ask for items scattered throughout the seasons. When a new season dawns, you'll want to collect your bundle items before the season passes you by. Because a new save file on Stardew Valley starts in Spring, collecting all Spring items for the community center can actually be difficult. If you're new to the game, you won't learn about the bundles for a few in-game days, leaving you with less time to collect needed crops than in other seasons. You also have fewer resources to spend, so start fishing and growing crops as soon as possible. If you want to complete the community center by the end of your first Winter, make sure to store a copy of your crops, forages, and other Spring items as soon as you get them. Then, when you unlock the community center, you can put them into your bundles immediately. When you unlock the Farm Cave, make sure to choose the fruit bat option. Otherwise, none of your fruit trees will be ready until next year.

On day 5 of Spring and onwards, you can trigger a cutscene by entering Pelican Town from the Bus Stop it must not be a rainy day where you'll learn what this building is. Afterward, the Community Center will be unlocked for your character to explore inside. While in here, you should head to the left and into the lower room to read a glowing scroll. Once you have done so, exit, as you are currently done here. Shortly after, you'll receive a piece of mail regarding the Community Center. If you read the scroll, a long cutscene will play out, with you ultimately gaining the ability to read the Junimo text. After gaining the ability to read Junimo text, you unlock the Community Center bundles.
