Helas I'm new to the game and don't know which map to play, so I would like to know from you what your favorite map is? My favourite maps are cascade hills and drucker county. They both got awesome large base with great option of customization cascade with the container fort and drucker with baricaded mall and loot hub locations. If you're new i would suggest you try providence ridge first as it was intended as go to map after tutorial. The best place is right where you start.
State of decay 2 map
Undead Labs' State of Decay 2 mostly sticks to the same formula as its predecessor, delivering an open-world survival game with a heavy focus on scavenging and resource management. While there are some quests to play through, the story takes a back seat to exploration, base building, and crafting a safe haven to stave off the wandering zombies. This makes State of Decay 2 maps very important. Players take charge of randomly generated characters with their own traits , strengths, and weaknesses; in fact, while the zombies are nothing to scoff at, fostering a sustainable community of survivors is often the game's greatest challenge. For the most part, the sequel plays like a slightly more polished version of 's State of Decay, but you are given the pick of multiple maps rather than just one. Including the tutorial and the DLC packages, State of Decay 2 has six separate maps that are just waiting to be traversed. Each area has its own positives and negatives, but which one is the best? Updated on July 20, , by Sharnelle Earle: June of included a content update by Undead Labs that features a new way for the blood plague to operate and new outposts. The blood plague is now more menacing, where any building with a plague heart in it will corrupt the entire neighborhood it's in instead of just the building. This means more blood plague zombies in large communities. What this also now means is that any outpost in the vicinity of a plague heart cannot be claimed until the plague heart is taken care of. New types of outposts have also been added, known as Landmark outposts. These are specialty outposts that only exist once per map. They are meant to offer special benefits and strategies to your gameplay. Unlike the rest of State of Decay 2's maps, Camp Osprey will be visited in each playthrough since it is the game's designated tutorial area.
Furthermore, there are only two small slots you can build on, state of decay 2 map, so this time around you actually have to make a choice between the Garden, the Infirmary, and the Workshop spoilers: you won't be cutting the Infirmary from your base plans. The "problem" with the bases in the map is that until you move in or find an actual guide somewhere? What do you need help on?

State of decay 2 map
There are a multitude of different bases available in the State of Decay 2. Each brings different elements and can either be a boon or a struggle for the survivors the player brings with them. Due to each being so unique, it can be a real challenge when trying to find the best base in this zombie survival game. It's imperative to have slots for beds, water, food, and high morale throughout. Luckily, despite there being many bases, some stand out far above the rest. Certain bases will increase players' chances of survival and will undoubtedly make anyone's life a lot easier while still saving the hassle and sizeable cost of relocating.

It's not without a few highlights - you have some decent options for your mid-game base, and the Farmland Compound end-game base is top tier. Thinking about using the Meagher Valley trick of driving through the farms to get around? I need the large slots more than I need the small. Justineau House Starter Base -- While the same in composition as the other starter bases on the original three maps, the Justineau House is absolutely killed by its location, both locally and map-wise. On the other hand, with it's back road connecting to the major road bisecting Drucker County, Wally's Bar and Grill is in a much superior position, while only needing four survivors and only costing influence to acquire. Second, while Fort Marshall is packed with many useful build-ins, its lack of open slots makes the base very inflexible. This time, we don't follow that progression, and start at the very mid-west part of the map, halfway between the two SoD "end" areas. I didn't realize that everyone can get Barracks 2 with 6 beds provided resources and I think Craftsmanship. First though, its lone drawback: its location in the southwest corner of the map is far away from the map centre, though this disadvantage is mitigated by the highly loot-able town the Container Fort resides in. Meagher Valley has the nicest bases, visuals and Landmark Outpost in my opinion. A desolate brown desert with cliffs and boulders everywhere goodbye vehicle shortcuts and substandard bases as far as the eye can see. Bar none, the Compound has the best position on the map, and easy access to every part of the map via convenient "shortcuts" through the farm fields with your car. Rusty Rosie's is at a slightly better location that WBS, but by barely enough that it's almost not worth registering. Heartland using the same map, abet smaller got around this limitation by cutting off the excess portions of the map and essentially making the game a big circle though with your base in the most inconvenient bit of that circle. If this isn't enough, another inherent bonus of the base is to allow for four armed guards on top of the containers, without having to build a Watchtower so the functional equivalent of two free watchtowers without daily ammo costs!
So you want to build the best home base in State of Decay 2?
Trumbull And Meagher and rn i will just switch maps back and forth XD. As a staunch proponent of Traders, for one, I think the field's a somewhat better choice of course, Container Fort is still better than either of them. It allows me to craft. Just bring some labour with you when you move in, as building and updating all those facilities is going to take you some time. Overall, the only weakness I see in WBS is the lack of aesthetic character every other base in Providence Ridge has loads of character. Wondering 2 things: 1. Topic Archived First Page 2 of 2. Meagher Valley -- In second place, and a relatively close second, comes Meagher Valley. Get over this limitation, and you have unquestionably one of the best bases in the game. This makes looting and claiming outposts harder, since half the map will be flooded with plague hearts in a normal game. Players take charge of randomly generated characters with their own traits , strengths, and weaknesses; in fact, while the zombies are nothing to scoff at, fostering a sustainable community of survivors is often the game's greatest challenge. Ive only tried one so far and its valley. For only needing 6 people to move in, this base packs a huge punch!
