The Palm Tree is a type of tree in Stranded Deep. It can be found on every island in abundance. Palm trees are exotic trees which are used for gathering wood logs , palm fronds and coconuts. These trees can be cut down with crude axes , refined axes , refined knives , stone tools , refined picks and machetes , but the crude and refined axes are the best option for this job. The amount of hits to cut down a palm tree depends on your tool and harvesting level, the most viable being a refined axe coupled with a harvesting level of 7. When cut down, the player will need to divide the palm tree into logs - depending on the height of the tree - and 1 palm top. The logs can be further hit to produce 4 sticks , or be brought to the plank station to craft plank scrap.
