Strength in Numbers is a main quest in the Fallout 76 update Wastelanders. After the Vault Dweller has dealt with the Free Radicals , Duchess needs the residents' help to find her missing guards. It is up to the residents of Vault 76 to find them, if they're still alive. After speaking to Duchess, tune in to the Transmitter Signal radio station. A map marker will then be placed on Gauley Mine.

I'm on the Strength in Numbers quest and have gotten to the part where I need to use a keycard to open a door, however despite talking to all the NPCs at the Wayward I never got the card. Ok, first check in your keyring; under MISC in your inventory there should be the item "keyring" that contains a Duncan and Duncan keycard. You should have gotten it from the Dutchess during the quest. If it is there but it's not functioning, try restarting The most common bug is the keycard swiper not showing up or not functioning. In Fallout 76 , the Strength in Numbers quest is unlocked by completing the previous quest Hunter for Hire, in which you deal with a raider gang that has been harassing Duchess, the owner of the local watering hole The Wayward. Whether or not you killed the gang boss Roper, Duchess will ask you to help locate some of her hired muscle who have gone missing: a human named Sol and an assaultron named Polly. Polly is fitted with a tracker that you can utilize via your Pip-Boy. Go to your radio tab and select the Transmitter Signal frequency, which highlights a circular area quest marker on your map. When you get close, follow the increased beeping to find the tracker. On one of the corpses, however, is a note labelled Gauley Mine Production Log. From there, you can follow the trail of Scorched corpses to the main Gauley Mine entrance just a short distance away.

It centers around a treasure hunter named Crane and a treasure he was supposedly seeking. After you put him out of his misery, you can find the Gauley Mine ID card on his body, along with a map that details where to find the entrance to the treasure trove. To find the treasure you will have to return to Gauley Mine. You can trek your way through the entire mine again or enter through the back exit — there will be a fast travel spot there if you exited that way during the Strength in Numbers quest. If you enter through the Gauley Mine exit, go to the right far side of the large open cavern. There will be a cage nearby that can only be opened via a keypad. You can find the code written on the map, or pinned up on the bulletin board nearby. From there, you can use the ID card to get through yet another locked door. After that, you can gain access to the treasure itself — a pre-war RobCo vault that dispenses legendary weapons. You can choose what type you want, whether it is a shotgun, an energy weapon, or a heavy gun.

Per page: 15 30 I found the source of the transmitter signal - a severed robot arm - but there's no one here. Defeat all remaining Scorched in the room to continue. Make sure to avoid the red laser beams and head towards the door on the far side of the room. Exit Gauley Mine either through the nearby exit, or through the front entrance, and return to the Wayward inn. Is that Polly?
