We offer two main series of suitcase drums with a couple sub-series within those two categories. The first is by far our most popular: The Custom Shop. Custom Shop Series kick drums are built from the ground-up. In fact, we are the only suitcase drum company that makes the luggage before converting it into a bass drum. We start with Russian void-less ply and form the box shape, carefully routing our corners and sided to create the signature shape, we incorporate specific contours befitting the mid century genre. After that, we wrap the box in your choice of vegan leather or tweed. The wraps can include two-tone and even multi-ton color schemes. From there we attach the hinges, hasps and leather corners, which are soaked in a warm solution to make them pliable. Once that is complete, we hand machine the handle clasps to attach to the handle in your color choice. After attaching mounts, feet, spurs and grommets, we carefully craft the custom interior. Our custom interiors are comprised of closed cell, medium-density foam that are cut into shape and then wrapped, glued and stitched into place. Once the interior is complete we begin integrating electronics. One other note on this- we are the first and only suitcase company to have internally mounted triggers!
