This chart is designed to be used primarily to help players make more informed decisions about which ships and engines to purchase, as well as to give clearer ideas about fuel and supply, and to help you better decide how worthwhile it use to use boosting and your ship light. The methodology employed to create this chart was not scientifically rigorous by any means, but should give a decent idea about the relationships of all these elements to one another. The purpose of this guide is primarily to give players, especially new players, a better idea of what ships and engines to upgrade to. But would such a purchase be wasteful? Each engine is faster than the one before it—but they are also more expensive to purchase—and what about the cost of operation—how much more fuel do later engines consume than earlier ones? This chart is intended to provide the information you need to make a more informed decision.

Done some testing with engines, exact same ship, same cargo amount and crew- only difference is the engine, the more powerful the engine is the LESS you can travel in one fuel unit, the problem is this amount is quite large! This ultra inefficiency does not seem right to me and makes the faster engines worse imo : Edit: Without the sunbox route, I find it's not sustainable. MagicHp Ver perfil Ver mensagens. FullPower depletes your fuel even faster But I suppose slower than a standard use of the one? Equipment is everything that's mounted on a ship that you can take off and replace with something more dangerous. You can't just strap an engine to your deck and expect to get anywhere. Each piece of equipment is designed to fit one specific place on your ship, and nowhere else. There's only room for once piece or equipment in each slot. All ships can have an Engine , a Deck gun, a Bridge lamp, and a piece of Auxiliary equipment. Only larger ships can mount Aft equipment and a Forward weapon. When not fitted to a slot, most equipment is considered Cargo and takes up space in the Hold. You can't find a shiny new engine just floating in the zee! Almost all equipment must be bought in the shops of London. A few specialized pieces can only be found abroad, and certain Officers may have dreams of creating one-of-a kind marvels

Larger engines become useful with larger ships, where you need that raw pushing power to get the hull moving. When I first started I thought the player just lost fuel while idling and turning. I am easily capable of visiting in one trip more ports than I need to fuel up upon return to London, without having to overly worry about Terror especially if I happen to have some coffee on me to add Irem to the rest stops at Frostbite and Mangrove. I tested the Eschatologue dreadnaught a little, but I had hypothesized that since it had the same weight as the Caligo, it would probably end up with the same stats.
