Combat is turn-based. Your Sentai will stand on one end of the screen and your enemies on the other, and only one character can attack at a time. The order in which characters take their turns will depend on their Speed stats, and sometimes, on any speed-related buffs or debuffs they have. Faster characters will attack more often, as will characters when they have stacks of Speed-enhancing buffs. The Speed stats of enemies are, to the best of my knowledge, hidden.
