Terraria the hallow
The Underground Hallow is a dangerous Hardmode biome , being one of the biomes that spawns when the Wall of Flesh is defeated. It is the underground version of the surface -level Hallow , and appears in the Cavern layer. It operates similarly to the surface Hallow, being comprised of Pearlstone and Pearlsand ; though it spawns different enemies, along with Crystal Shards , a common Hardmode crafting material. Gelatin Crystals can also be found to summon Queen Slime. The Underground Hallow spreads just like its surface counterpart, The Hallow, and similarly will conflict with Corruption and Crimson , as well as their underground variants. Underground Hallow does not suppress the spawn of other underground and cavern enemies. Note: Most characteristics of the surface Hallow apply to the Underground Hallow, with the exception of the enemies that spawn. See The Hallow for more extensive information. On the Desktop version , Console version , and Mobile version , the following backgrounds are used. On the Old-gen console version and Nintendo 3DS version , the cavern layer background for any other biome the player is in is dynamically tinted pink. Hallowed Ice Cracked purple ice wall with blue and pink dots. May cause confusion with Corrupt ice due to purple color.

The Hallow is considered an opposite to the Corruption or Crimson biomes, since it can spread like they can, and it has light themed items instead of the Evil biomes' Night or evil themed items. The Hallow cannot naturally exist in a pre-Hardmode world. After defeating the Wall of Flesh , two diagonal strips in a "V" formation will infect the world. While the Hallow isn't as dangerous as its evil counterparts, it can still be a deceptively difficult biome. These two materials are required for many early Hardmode recipes, hence they should always be collected or farmed for. Crystal Shards will grow naturally on the Pearlstone blocks, while Souls of Light have a chance to be dropped by any enemy killed within the biome. A good farming spot for the latter is a wide section of a cavern, where all enemies will spawn within one place.

It is characterized by pastel-colored fairytale graphics, with colorful cyan-colored grass , multicolored trees , and a large rainbow in the background, as well as similarly whimsical-looking though dangerous enemies. The Underground Hallow biome can be found directly beneath a naturally-generated Hallow biome. The Hallow does not exist in newly-generated worlds.

The Hallow is a magical but dangerous biome that is created once the Wall of Flesh in the Underworld has been defeated. It is an anti- Corruption biome and can be spread by planting Hallowed Seeds , throwing Holy Water , and with the Clentaminator. The Hallow is most effective when used to counter the spreading of Corruption; however, the corruption and hallow can still spread over each other, just very slowly. The biome has light blue grass and colored trees, and a rainbow can be seen in the background. It is home to Unicorns , Pixies , and, at night, Gastropods. This biome has two summonable bosses, the Queen Slime , and the Empress of Light. The Hallow has its own, specialized underground level called the Underground Hallow. It is primarily made of Pearlstone , a white-colored Ebonstone -like block converted from normal stone. Much like Ebonstone, Pearlstone takes longer to dig than normal stone, and requires at least a Nightmare Pickaxe or Deathbringer Pickaxe. The Dryad will say what the percentage of Hallow and Corruption is in the world once the Wall of Flesh has been defeated.
