We were on holiday from Surrey and only found the pub on our last day, what a shame. Would have eaten here every day if discovered earlier. Great looking venue and lovely atmosphere. Super country food and very competitively priced. Have recommended to friends already who travel up soon. There is no children's menu as such but we were made to feel very welcome and there was a lovely family atmosphere. Jesmond Dene House.

Hours : Newton-on-the-Moor, Morpeth Menu. The food was superb and served promptly and hot. Overall a great dining experience in a small village. January Had a light lunch in the bar, as we were having dinner later. Served quickly lovely soup and nice ceaser salad. Evening was dinner in the restaurant. Great service, starter of goats cheese with salad, and crab and lobster bisque, lovely. Mains were smoked haddock rissoto and 6 hour shin of beef with seasonal veg. Pea puree black pudding mash.
