Colorful Santa Fe-style decor gives the rooms and interior spaces a cozy, authentic feel, and the hopping Del Charro Saloon attracts the locals and serves tasty eats. A free breakfast buffet, afternoon tea and sherry, and free covered parking all add good value to this charming hotel -- and the heated outdoor pool and whirlpool are nice perks though the pool is on the small side. Inn of the Governors goes above and beyond what one might expect from a reasonably priced mid-range hotel.

The Inn has been renowned for intimacy, charm and tranquility for more than 50 years. A TripAdvisor reviewer commented, "I think for the cost, the value is outstanding and would stay here again. After two nights here, I would love to have stayed longer. This charming hotel is great value for money, has excellent staff, is located within walking distance of the main sights and offers both a great breakfast buffet as part of the room price and generous Margaritas in the popular bar. When I arrived in the evening — unfortunately missing the free sherry or tea served daily pm — there was plenty of room to park, the exterior balconies that lead to the rooms were lined with swathes of flowers and my room itself , a corner was spacious with a good bathroom area, hidden fridge, large TV and lots of nice details. The hotel decor is classic traditional New Mexico with lots of colourful hangings and furnishings, exposed timbers and well maintained plants.
