Derek Fox steered favourite Corach Rambler to a superb triumph as he won the Grand National for a second time. Fox teamed up with trainer Lucinda Russell, six years after they first tasted victory together with One For Arthur. The year-old Irish jockey was only passed fit by doctors on the morning of the race. The race was delayed by around 15 minutes after protesters from Animal Rising got on to the track. Corach Rambler grabbed the lead over the last hurdle and then pulled away from a final test launched by Vanillier and Gaillard Du Mesnil, who finished second and third.
