The Redwood mountain does not spawn gigas but all other mountains do so your best bet is to fly a circle over alle the mountains in the north every morning. Since the update that made them spawn regularly, we've found them in a pretty even spread across all mountains in the north, minus the volcano though there has been one there. Recommended Posts. ARK: Survival Ascended is here, and gathering resources has never been more fun now that the survival game is in Unreal Engine 5. Of course, one of the challenging parts of ARK: Survival Ascended is knowing where to find the resources you need. Of course, Metal and Rich Metal are always required. Even the bulk of tools, weapons, and items will require these two. However, even in the early easier regions, you can find a few deposits of Crystal located on the southern area of The Island. Metal can be found all over The Island, however, you will find it mostly in mountains rocky regions.

All group names for creatures and spawn areas are taken from the DevKit, so some of them may look a little weird. This guide will walk you through the basics of the spawn map. For this example, we will be looking at the spawns of Ankylosaurus on The Island. We start by clicking on the drop-down list to select a creature. Every creature is available in the list, including variants such as Unicorn and Yeti, but it is currently not possible to have multiple creatures displayed at once without viewing the full spawn groups explained in a later step. We're going to select Ankylosaurus for this example. There are now multiple colored rectangles overlaid on the map. Each of these rectangles represents an area that the Ankylo can potentially spawn in.
